Working as a volunteer abroad allows you to experience a country in a very different way. You get to know another side of the country, its people, habits and culture. Volunteer work is an experience you will not easily forget.

With the Angkor Tree School project, the work you do is meaningful. You are helping to build the future of local children, and we believe you can really make a difference!

 

Please be aware that this is a genuine project, not a lucrative undertaking. Our goals are always committed to the benefits of the school, and we do not use volunteers as a means of turning a profit. 

 

We believe that Aukas volunteers should not be charged to help.

 

There is a room available for volunteers to stay at the common house. For a daily fee we provide a bed, breakfast and dinner. Contact us for more information. We are glad to help out with any questions regarding Cambodia or Siem Reap.

 

THE SCHOOL

Angkor Tree School is an educational project, so we are mainly looking for people to teach English or Japanese. Even if you are not a native speaker you can teach English. 

 

As a volunteer you are free between 10:00 and 14:00, also the weekends.

 

What do we expect?

-A commitment of one month minimum. 

-A respect for the local culture.

-Flexibility, it is a small local project and time tables may alter, classes can get  quite hectic... :)

-A lot of enthusiasm of course!
